The TV show was a classic but spin off movies from British TV series are usually pretty bad - this one, however, is surprisingly good. The bigger budget allowed for some location scenes which did add a little that was absent from the TV show and the characters and traditions are generally treated with respect.
Certainly no insult to the memory of a fine show.
