A history of the origins of the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Hardly sounds like a recipe for riveting film making, does it? I'm glad I gave this a spin since while understated, it's also an extremely powerful movie which had me spellbound.
Tea drinking, you see, was part of the Samurai state of mind, a way of attaining purity of mind before going into battle. One lump or two?
