Review of Raining Stones (1993) by Private U — 18 Jul 2007
Masterpiece. One of the best films of the 90s, and it may be Ken Loach's finest film (but to be fair, there are still many of his films I need to see). Anyhow, this gritty comedy of errors accomplishes the astonishing act of making humour out of a situation that is really no laughing matter.
A sardonic piece of irony that is as profound as it is entertaining.
