Review of Quadrophenia (1979) by Maharet H — 21 Sep 2010
Very good, very british film! A good representation of the Mod era, how the life of the young working class people was back then. How they preferred popping pills dancing and fighting rockers than having a steady job. Come to think of it, that's what happens with every new generation.
Anyhoo, the beaches of Brighton and the cliffs were beautiful, The Who's music marvellous as always (main reason why I watched it), I was kinda disapointed they weren't in it (showing them on a tv set in the background doesn't count) but I still loved the film, and as usual a complete but great surprise to see a very blond, very young Sting in it!!
