Absolutely beautiful! I am a huge fan of movies that take "real life-like" events and then add supernatural elements to them. The use of foreshadowing and callback were also amazingly well-done.
The love of the backwoods father for his son was so touching. The monster design was great. My only gripe is that the murderous beast scenes kind of dragged on (in order to satisfy the blood&boobs horror watcher).
