This is an odd bird. it has good intentions, but it's not quite smart enough to make anything with them. the cast is good, but they seem unable to pretend that they even know each other. toward the end of the movie, something happens that almost makes the entire rest of the "meh" movie seem appropriate, but instead of ending it there, it continues that just makes matters worse.

the whole "fat" thing is really not handled well. obviously influenced by "the big chill" and maybe even "indian summer," I would recommend you pick up "seven and a match" which tweaks the formula with more success.
