Based on the largest bank fraud in Canadian history. Dan Mahowny is VP at the CIBC in Toronto, who embezzels up to $10.2 million dollars to feed his gambling addiction. Great performances by Philip Seymour Hoffman (Mahowny), Minnie Driver (his girlfriend), John Hurt (a Casino manager), Maury Chaykin (his bookie) and Ian Tracey (the cop who catches him).
Canada needs to produce more films like this (Canadian made, about Canadian stories).
