Review of Otis (2008) by Cli O — 06 Dec 2008
The damnedest movie...I don't know if my four stars should serve as any recommendation for anyone else to see it, but I found it perversely amusing. The first half deals with Otis the psycho, and his character I became fascinated by.
The second is an absurd comedy, and I reached a point where I caved into the ridiculousness of the revenge plot and went with it. I liked the fact that in such a low budget film, the big budget songs were played not to comment upon the plot or give the film meaning but to enhance the film's mood and rhythm.
An oddball movie, but one that got me.
