Review of Northern Soul (2014) by Michael H — 23 Oct 2014
From the moment the film starts to its finale, every scene was a joy to watch with it's full gamut of emotions throughout. Star turns take second billing to the fantastic young leads of the film who steal the show.
If you're able to watch without feeling an inner need to strut your stuff (and I'm a real none dancer) then your pulse must be zero as the soul soundtrack is groovy. The real winning factor of the film though is it's capturing of the 70's spirit and feel.
Life was simpler but a dark thread still wove through Lancashire. A must see with no doubt.
