Review of Nightwatching (2007) by Coralie R — 21 Feb 2010
Peter Greenaway is a brilliant director, his movies have his signature style all over them. Nightwatching is also made with the same Greenaway style, but it just didn't pack the same punch as Prospero's Books or The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and her Lover.
The acting and the sets make Nightwatching feel like you are watching a play, which isn't a bad thing, but the movie feels drawn out, it could have been a little shorter. Nightwatching is for Greenaway fans, if you haven't seen his work before then start with The Cook.
