A nicely crafted documentary that examines the idea that horror films reflect the times & places in which they were made. While that notion may certainly be true, the examples used in the film are not executed and followed through very well.

Some of the correlations made from film to global event are slightly far fetched and expanded on poorly. The documentary uses a "tired" chapter breakdown with silly graphics joining the sections.

HOWEVER, the documentary has an insane amount of classic horror clips that will make any genre fan salivate. Would have worked better as a documentary that simply chronologies the history of horror cinema.

As a documentary for the general viewer, it falls a little flat. As a film about horror cinema for the genre fan, it's a great view.
