OMG, abosultely brilliant and so totally on point with so many cultural, social, economic issues, which we still deal with today. It is so hard combining a love story with social commentary and Frears has done it ever so well.
The conveyed themes at times can feel a bit too explicit but I prefer films like that sometimes, which I prefer.
