This awesome cross-cultural story has two of my favorite British actors, Saeed Jaffrey and Roshan Seth. A young Daniel Day-Lewis also plays an excellent part. Similar to (foreshadowed?) "Bend it like Beckham" but much more serious.
Also related in theme is "Madame Souzatska". All three are great storys.
