Review of Mrs. Dalloway (1997) by Janine M — 04 Dec 2006
I chose this film along with another three to study as part of my coursework for feminist cinema, this was the only one I disliked. I found the pace to be extremely slow and tiring. This film would suit those who like slow moving dramas.
Even though I disliked the film, the fluidity is amazing and some parts of the film are very beautiful. Not Marleen Gorris' best films, but one that deserves at least one viewing to admire the fluidity of moving through past and present that most films lack.
