Manic is a disturbing movie, along the lines of Thirteen, that looks at troubled teenagers in a mental institution. Like Thirteen, this film could have like an after-school special, but instead takes a gritty view of teenagers with a variety of troubles.
The acting is very good. Overall, a very solid film.
