Review of Malice in Wonderland (2010) by Angelo T — 12 Jul 2011
This is a quirky little film. It follows Alice, an American woman in London, who is running away from something, but due to a cab inflicted TBI can't remember what, or anything else for that matter.
The deranged versions of the white rabbit (the cab driver), dormouse (a cutpurse), Queen of Hearts (a gay mob boss having a coming out party), Cheshire cat (a radio dj), and a slew of others all mish-mash into the strangest night of Alice's life.
The piece holds together well until the last ten minutes when they bring in Alice's mother issues and use her amnesia as an excuse for why they didn't set the c plot up better.
