Review of Make It Happen (2008) by Emma B — 10 Aug 2008
I am completely unashamed to say that I really liked this! Mary Elizabeth Winstead is fantastic, and after reading about her wanting to firstly be ballet dancer before becoming an actress, I was curious to find out just how much of a dancer she really is.
To clarify, she is pretty damn good! I've never been a fan of break dancing or street dancing or whatever, but some of the dances here were very cool to watch. Especially when incorporated with burlesque routines.
The plot is insanely predictable and like pretty much all teen movies, you know exactly how it's going to end. But it's all completely light-hearted and somehow it all doesn't matter. I think that's partly down to how great Winstead is.
Definately worth a watch.
