Review of Ludwig (1973) by Telmo J — 27 Jun 2008
It could look very long, but you need to have the patience and the openness to understand the delicate piece that Visconti creates with Ludwig. The film's slow pace helps to create the crescendo madness of Ludwig II King of Bavaria.
Very pleasant to see Romy Scheneider reprising her role as Elizabeth Empress of Austria, much more adult and cynic.
