Review of London Town (2017) by Nick C — 06 Oct 2016
I loved this movie. The Clash brought me in, but the story got me. It's a coming of age story in the social / racial / nationalist / immigrant tention of the late 70s in England. But it's not sappy or cheesy or preachy.
I love the Clash and all the music that I heard in it (the stranglers, 101ers, Willy Williams, Junior Murvin and the Upsetters, Buzzcocks). But the movie (and the story) stands on its own. I very much enjoyed the movie.
