Review of Lolita (1962) by Chris S — 02 Jan 2010
I am normally not a big Stanley Kubrick fan because of his big ego and his disrepect for other writers (cough Stephen King), but there is a lot of things he did that I liked, this is one of them. Stanley Kubrick's only mature film on the subject of sexuality, this movie has everything that crap like "Eyes Wide Shut" doesn't including good casting--Peter Sellers, James Mason, and Shelly Winters.
A visually beautiful film That helped Kubrick get at the top of his game. Much, much, much better than "Eyes Wide Shut".
