Review of Lola (1981) by Andrew K — 18 May 2009
Amazing, amazing film. one of those where there is so much going on in each frame you cannot avert your attention from the screen. He uses mutliple film filters to give actors eyes a blue alive feel, the colors of the film feel like looking through candy wrappers at the drug store, it is magical, dream like, sad, and uplifting all at once it as homeage to the likes of juliet of the spirits in the 60's italian and german red light film noir.
