Review of Listen to Britain (1942) by Mark S — 04 Jul 2012
The beginning announcement of "I'm a Canadian" made me laugh out loud, but this is a cut above a lot of war-time propaganda films. Essentially it manages to show national unity through the clever use of sound and images.
It doesn't force its message home, it lets Britain speak for itself and show that there was a lot to be proud of and to fight for.
