Review of Lake Mungo (2009) by Yadi G — 10 Apr 2012
The less you know about LAKE MUNGO going in the better. Something of a documentary, something of a haunted house horror, something of a found-footage mystery, it's entirely one of the most terrifying, moving and unforgettable horror films I've seen in an age.
And, satisfyingly, it's entirely unpredictable - every time you think you see where it's going it throws a new chilling revelation at you in an attempt to make the viewer as uncomfortable and lost as possible.
It succeeds admirably - there are images here that I still can't shake weeks after watching it. A towering, insidious achievement.
