Traitors, elaborote coups, insurrections, martyrdom and love till death make this my all time favourite romance ever! Trevor Nunn got it right when he picked my favourite actor, Helena Bonham Carter, to play feisty Lady Jane.
Cary Ewles is the sort of guy any girl would fall for when he joins her in death rather than betray their beliefs... the price for them both to have a pure love away from the political and religious game they've been placed in.
Everytime I tell myself I won't cry when I watch this movie, but I do when she says "The next time I see your face, I want it to be for eternity". Yeah...i'm a hopeless romantic and I love a good history/costume drama.
