Review of Kevin Smith: Burn in Hell (2012) by Tim S — 04 Sep 2012
If you're looking for more Kevin Smith concert footage like his original DVD release of An Evening With Kevin Smith and you felt somehow let down by the subsequent releases then Kevin Smith: Burn in Hell may not totally be what you want.
Like the last DVD release of Too Fat For 40, he more or less answers only a couple of questions but with very long answers. I found this one a bit more engaging though as Smith gets deeply personal, almost to the point of bringing you to tears when he talks about the death of his father.
It's a very personal moment, coupled with his views on filmmaking in general. I'd say it's a step up from the previous releases, even though it's more or less just like them. The material is much better, even though there's a very small amount of it.
No big deal though. What's there is funny and entertaining enough.
