Review of Kevin Smith: Burn in Hell (2012) by Cole M — 04 Jan 2013
A lot of the topics Kevin goes over in his new book "Tough Shit" but the man is very inspirational; a guy who knew zilch about filmmaking and didn't grow up in a big studio household who just put himself out there, wanting a grasp of expressionism and art, and made something of himself.
It's his 'don't-give-up'-attitude and drive that is essential for all young indie filmmakers such as myself who shouldn't listen to the world tell us we can't do it, we're failures or going to fail, and to get a real job.
Yeah, well... to hell with negativity and derision. It's the dreamers, the movers and shakers, who make this world go round. So, grab a camera and make something.
