Review of Judy (2019) by Jordanlayton — 28 Apr 2020

Despite knowing next to nothing about the life of Garland, Judy captivated me from start to finish. There are just enough creative shots and reveals peppered on top of an undeniably great performance to surpass a somewhat unexciting plot.

This is a film that evoked dread from me more than anything else, but I was actually pleasantly surprised by how the film handled the 3rd act. I overlooked this one when it came out but now that I've seen it, I would recommend it to anyone with even a remote interest in Judy Garland.
