Review of Johnny O'Clock (1947) by Allan C — 05 Oct 2012
Okay noir tale of tough guy Dick Powell caught up in murder. I have never bought Powell as a tough guy in any film, even in the excellent "Murder, My Sweet", but the rest of the cast is solid and the film is stylish directed by Robert Rossen, in his film debut, which makes the film more entertaining than the average script deserves.
