Review of Jinnah (1998) by Abhishek C — 01 Jul 2009
A brave and carefully charted out discourse on the life n times of Jinnah.. I quite expected it to be an anti Gandhi flick.. but it steers clear of the same and tries to show the reasons .. the ideology of Jinnah and the Muslim League that led to the divison of India into 2..
Mountbatten gets a lot of stick though..
From a cinematic perspective it's definitely not in the league of Gandhi.. but nevertheless makes a pretty interesting watch..
The last scene is probably one of the best in the movie when Jinnah meets the migrating families from Ferozepur and asks for their forgiveness..
