Review of Inside Job (2010) by Glenn H — 18 May 2011
Walk-away messages from this film:
(1) an unregulated banking and investment industry (thank you Presidents Reagan, Bush I, Clinton, Bush II, Obama) will inevitably put short-term profits before the long-term health of their own companies, let alone the country.
(2) the financial services industry has complete control of our government (this is not a Republican vs Democratic issue, although I believe the only attempts to fix things come from Democrats).
(3) A country cannot survive in the long-term when 40% of its GDP is based on servicing and selling other people's debt.
(4) AIG, Countrywide, Morgan Stanley, Bears-Stern, Citigroup, Lehman Brothers are exponentially a greater threat to homeland security than is Al Qaida.
(5) You should watch this documentary.
