Review of In God's Hands (2014) by Alvin M — 11 Oct 2012
You can't judge this movie the same way you judge others. The story is a little weird, acting isn't great, but they cast real surfers because they didn't want the cheesy shots like Kate Bosworth in Blue Crush and they wanted to show more of a spiritual side of the sport.
The performance by the surfers as actors can be put aside because it comes from the right place and the surfing footage is excellent. It is no Step Into Liquid but it is a great addition to the DVD library.
