How do you make a film about Italian politics that manages to get the labyrinthine intricacies of the system, while remaining accessible and also not falling for cliched satyrical posturing? Sorrentino has given it a good shot.
.. playing with a number of film types, genres and get the "feel" right rather than worrying about the reception from the political classes. He'll be watching his back, mind.
