Review of Howl (2010) by Tonya Russ P — 19 Feb 2011
James Franco settles right into his roles effortlessly and his portrayal of Allen Ginsberg is no different. You instantly get sucked in. Every little celebrity cameo is like eye candy, leaves you wanting more. The animation really carries the poems along, to keep you entertained, the military scenes reminded me a little of The Wall. I had never heard of Howl, beautiful words, I am always jealous of songwriters and poets who can twist everyday words and make you think, damn, I wish I wrote that.
Howl, also reminds you how you would not want to be institutionalized in 1957. Good times.
