Review of Hornblower: The Duchess and the Devil (1999) by Steve S — 12 Aug 2009

I liked this entry of hornblower alot, as horatio and his crew are captured and jailed while transporting a duchess to england, who isn't who she seems. I thought this one was very interesting for two reasons, both having to do with hornblower himself.

firstly, it's really neat to see how the enemy regards horatio in almost an envy of his abilities, and secondly, his interaction with the duchess and simple flirtations are something we haven't seen from this stoic all business character.
