Review of Hoffa (1992) by Suveera A — 07 May 2008
As the Teamsters union leader Jimmy Hoffa, the great actor Jack Nicholson exudes grace, charm and power in one of his best career performances meant to be seen just for the immensely brilliant portrayal.
Nicholson doesn't look like himself, which greatly adds depth to his character, who in fact was a real living person. Director DeVito was excellent in his performance and even more so in the detailed presentation of his biography film, perfectly capturing the period times in which the whole story unfolds and leads up to Hoffa's mysterious and unsolved disappearance.
