Review of Hiroshima Mon Amour (1959) by Wut S — 26 Jun 2007
Poetic and melancholy. A portrait of unreasonable love set in Post-Nuclear Hiroshima. A Japanese architect having an affair with a French actress who's troubled by the similarity of her tragic past and present romance.
This is one of the most important French New Wave achievements and my personal favorite.
