Review of Here Alone (2016) by Danny G — 02 Sep 2018

This is really a step forward for "zombie" movies. The interesting part about Big Z is not the actual monster itself but how humans react to a complete collapse of the normal order of their lives.

This movie really delivers that. There are very few scary scenes,but the ones they have are done exceptionally well. Instead, we have a wonderful character study about three people who have lost almost everything, including a part of their humanity, and their attempts to put themselves back together.

It has a nice, very tense, ending that makes getting invested in their journey worth the trip.
