Review of Gregory's Girl (1980) by James B — 29 Apr 2009
A surprising and quirky comedy. This film is perfect for fans of Robert Altman's "O.C. and Stiggs" or the films of Savage Steve Holland ("Better Off Dead"). The music and the production values will remind you of an After-School Special, but the writing and filmmaking is light-years beyond those.
Don't expect much in the way of plot, just a sunny and fun, light-hearted, slice-of-life, coming-of-age story.
