Review of Grabbers (2012) by Jen H — 27 Dec 2012

Grabbers manages a rare balancing act of mashing the daft scares of the awesome Tremors with a large dollop of quirky (drunken) Irish charm reminiscent of The Guard (and Father Ted!). It's lots of fun, the script is genuinely funny and well paced and the cast are all likeable and familiar from other fun genre stuff (Richard Coyle needs more lead roles!).

Best of all, the SFX creature work is pretty amazing for the tiny budget - damn shame this didn't get a wider cinema release but it deserves to do well on DVD hopefully!!
