Released last year, 'Gook' (which is a pejorative in America used to refer to people of East/South-East Asian heritage) is an heady drama set in the racial cauldron of Los Angeles, in the backdrop of the 1992 riots.
Though not a movie that would have mass appeal, it serves as a useful reminder that inter-racial relations in American cities is not merely a black-and-white affair.
