Review of Gone Are the Days (2018) by Mellissa K — 29 Mar 2018
I have never really been big on westerns, but when I saw "Gone Are The Days", I really loved it. Gregory Tucker's craftsmanship in storytelling gives this western movie one of the most sublime plot developments on redemption and forgiveness.
Tucker's poignant and nostalgic story is brilliantly delivered to the screen by director, Mark Gould and leading actor, Lance Henriksen. This film is prolific in characters and depicts not only the sentiments of regret, but also faith, devotion, sadness of loss, and a love that delivers an outlaw refusing to die alone in his death bed full of sorrows on an epic journey for atonement.
This movie deconstructs the traditional Western genre with an introduction of mysticism and suspense that results in an enthralling and inspirational movie.
