Review of Fay Grim (2007) by Douglas N — 05 Jun 2007
Fine follow-up to Hartley's earlier Henry Fool requires no knowledge of that film, as it operates on its own loopy logic, and besides - every thing that you thought you knew was wrong. Hartley turns the espionage thiller inside out and ends up with something far more interesting - a meditation on what makes relationships worth pursuing.
But, y'know, with guns.
