Review of Fall Guy (1982) by Brandon S — 24 Mar 2010
Interesting film inside a film inside a film concept by Kenji Fukasaku in which it's a samurai film shoot is going on inside of a drama which is all actually a comedy. Fall Guy is about an actor that is becoming washed up and then gets his girlfriend pregnant who he pawns off on a friend of his that is a bit part actor.
Sounds like a mouthfull but it works thanks to great direction from Fukasaku. Also all of the filmmaking inside the film is fun to watch, with a decent amount of suspense added for the final stunt.
