Review of Elevator to the Gallows (1958) by Anthony V — 01 Jul 2012
Great bit of French Noir by Louis Malle. Superb direction, amazing cinematography and a knockout Miles Davis soundtrack combines with a star-making performance from Jeanne Moreau and great supporting performances to make a treat for the eyes and ears.
This precursor to the French New Wave has a well earned reputation!
