Review of Ed Wood (1994) by Chelsea L — 29 Aug 2012
I feel this is how most biographies should go: observe the person and let the audience decide what kind of person they are. This film passes no judgment on Edward Wood himself, it just shows you who he was as plainly and as honestly as possible, then you can decide who he was.
Ed Wood is a fascinating man: he had an insatiable passion for film, but he made terrible mistakes: whether they were business related, creatively terrible or detrimental to his home life, he made many of them. Do you love him for his passion? Or do you hate him because of his choices? It is all up to you.
