Review of Ebola Syndrome (1996) by Mim J — 17 Aug 2007
Anthony Wong Chau-Sang (Infernal Affairs) stars in this outrageously bloody, disturbing, and often out right disgusting HK horror flick. Wong plays an extremely horny serial killer, who not only attempts to rape every girl he sees, but then travels to Africa to acquire the ebola virus, and then returns to HK to infect virtually everyone.
Part of the beauty of HK cinema is seeing things which would never be allowed in U.S. cinemas, but even at times, 'Ebola Syndrome' can be too much to handle. Definitely memorable, but that's not necessarily a great thing.
