Review of Duel to the Death (1983) by Nikolai E — 26 Feb 2008
Largey unheralded and absolutely underrated martial arts film, as even if there's a few too many improbable feats and kooky camera angles to make it an acrobatic spectacle, it's thematically solid.
The ending and titular duel are particularly worthwhile, as the film ends on a much more sudden and ambiguous note than you might expect.
