Review of Drool (2009) by Adora B — 18 Aug 2009
Filled with all the drama of a Desperate Houswives set, this film has laughs, and drama to keep you entertained, even through the occasional slow parts.
Abusive husband? Meek housewife? Check.
Irrittable teenage daughter? Budding queer son? Check.
Beautiful, bubbly, black new neighbour? Check.
High School drama? Check.
Racist abusive husband catches wife's first kiss with a "BLACK" woman? Check.
(I dont know what was worse for the husband: seeing his wife kiss someone, seeing his wife kiss a woman, seeing his wife kiss a black woman, or seeing his wife kiss the "n1gger" he forbid his wife to allow into the house).
Racism? Murder? Check.
Friendship? Family? Strength? Check.
Would see again? Check.
Would seek out to buy? Probably not.
Glad I saw it? Check.
