John Hughes changed the face of teen films forever during the 80's giving a frank look into the teenage psyche with films like The Breakfast Club and 16 Candles. This documentary looks into the phenomena of John Hughes films which still relate to teens today and the journey by the film makers to find John Hughes who went from regular big time regular Hollywood director and writer, producer to a recluse before his recent untimely death.
With interviews with actors from his films talking about his influence on them and an audience to film makers today including Kevin Smith who were heavily influenced by Hughes films. It give a fascinating look on his influence everywhere in pop culture.
Very insightful and interesting if not sad look at John Hughes. RIP.
