Review of Devil's Den (2006) by Michael W — 07 Sep 2007
To be quite honest, I only added this film to my Blockbuster Online queue because it featured the great Ken Foree as a ghoul slashing swordsman. Otherwise, I would not be enticed to see it. Boy am I glad Mr.
Foree was in it. Otherwise, there is no way I would have been treated to this solid action/horror film. While the story isn't 100% original (south of the border strip club featuring some sort of demonry -- From Dusk Till Dawn anyone?) this film had enough action and comedy to make it work well enough.
Hu and Sawa had good on screen chemistry and along with Foree made the film more enjoyable. Overall, they got some things right and created a film worth checking out that had enough in it to set it apart from that eerily similar film starring George Clooney and Quentin Tarantino.
